Welcome to Haydock Medical Centre
Help us to help save you time, and use eConsult instead of the phone when contacting the practice
Use eConsult to
- Book an appointment
- Ask for advice
- Make a request, for example for a letter or a sick note
- Get self-help advice for hundreds of common conditions
Requests for appointments will be seen by our duty doctor as quickly as with a phone call
Requests for reception or our administration team to deal with will also be seen just as quickly
The information that you provide through eConsult is completely confidential, and will help our team manage your request quickly and efficiently.
eConsult enables you provide detailed information about your condition, without having to speak to a receptionist.
This will help our duty doctor ensure you get the right advice, treatment or appointment with the right clinician for your problem.
Video: How eConsult works
All requests for appointments on the same day are passed to the duty doctor.
Depending on the nature of the problem the doctor may offer a same day appointment, a phone consultation or a routine appointment.
We recommend using eConsult to contact the practice.
We will contact you back promptly by text or email.
However, if you choose to phone, the more information you can give the receptionist about your problem, the more this will help the doctor offer you the right service.
In this case, once the doctor has decided, you will be phoned back
We are pleased to announce that from 1st July 2019, extra appointments will be offered to patients in our practice through extended hours.

St Helens Safer in Town Scheme
We have signed up to the Safer in Town Scheme that is provided for vulnerable people by St Helens Council. We want to ensure that people feel safe in their community and that they have somewhere where they can seek some assistance if they don’t. The Safer in Town Scheme is provided as a voluntary service by shops, libraries and public service centres across the St Helens area. You do not have to be a registered patient to access the scheme here at the Practice. If you feel that you may benefit from this scheme and wish to sign up, please complete the application form. Completed forms can be returned directly to St Helens Council or you can return them to the Practice and we will send them on your behalf. For more information regarding the scheme please follow the link to the Safer in Town website http://safer.sthelens.gov.uk/news/2010/11/04/safer-in-town/.
